Police found some of the stolen property at Mr Nobbs' house.

The total cost to the shop in stolen goods and damage to the doors was $17,000.

Lawyer Michael Robinson said the four men were driving around at 2.40am when they brochure printing came up with the idea to ram raid the shop.

"They were all smokers and they had run out of cigarettes," he said.
